Inspired New Image for Pentlands Accountants

Pentlands, one of Leamington’s largest accountancy firms, have been given a new modern look and feel to their corporate image. After completing a management buy-out two years ago, the group decided a new look was needed to modernise and refresh their image for the new era. The new image, which reflects a more contemporary and softer feel, has been designed by Warwick’s leading design agency Watermark Design, chosen for their expertise in re-branding.


Extensive research was undertaken by Watermark Design in designing the new image. The brief was to re-design the existing logo, keeping the same colour but changing the overall look of the existing corporate image. Four different branding concepts were designed which not only looked at the logo but also at the colours, typography, symbolism and images. The logo was then applied to a range of stationery and marketing materials including signage, mouse mats and advertising as well as promotional goods such as chocolates and mint cards.

Elinor Perry, Co-Director of Pentlands said “We felt our image needed to be updated following the management buy-out. We wanted to move away from the traditional accountancy image. Being a female led group of accountants, we wanted a softer and fresher look that would make us stand out and show us to think differently compared to other accountants. We approached Watermark Design as we knew of their expertise in this area and liked their company ethos and style”.

Feedback has shown that the new brand is becoming familiar and recognised from within the wider community and the perception of Pentlands is of a more modern and forward thinking organisation.
