Major re branding for the Orbit Group
Watermark has completed a major re-branding project for the Orbit Group involving the development of new logos and guidelines for all group members with literature styling, exhibitions, advertising and site signs being part of the project. The new logos have retained the essence of the previous branding but put a fresh new and modern face to the group.
The Orbit Group is one of the largest housing groups in the country operating in the Midlands, the South East and the East of England providing high quality affordable homes to those in greatest need. Orbit Group Ltd, Orbit Heart of England Housing Association, Orbit South Housing Association Ltd, Orbit East, Heart of England Housing & Care, Orbit First Step and Orbit New Homes are part of the Orbit Group.
April 1st marked the creation of Orbit Heart of England Housing Association as Orbit Housing Association and South Warwickshire Housing Association combined forces to manage over 13,000 homes in the Midlands. The creation of Orbit Heart of England Housing Association means that the Orbit Group now manages over 33,000 homes across England, making it one of the largest housing groups in the country.
Stewart Fergusson, Managing Director of Orbit Heart of England Housing Association says: “The merger will give Orbit a stronger regional presence in the Midlands meaning that we are in an excellent position to build even more affordable homes for people in central England. The Group can reinvest any savings made into improving local service delivery across the region ensuring it is in the best position to offer outstanding customer service.”
Heart of England Housing and Care, a specialist registered care provider with nine care homes, is also now a company within the Orbit Group.
In addition to the merger in the Midlands, the Orbit Group has created Orbit East which will manage 5,000 homes in East Anglia including the Group’s Private Retirement Schemes.
The recent changes follow the amalgamation of the Group’s southern Associations (Thanet Community Housing Association and Orbit Bexley Housing Association) in October 2007.
Paul Tennant, Orbit Group Chief Executive says: “The past six months have seen major changes happen across the Group. Orbit’s new structure makes us ideally placed to respond to the changing needs of the sector and our customers by offering a wider, and a more locally focused range of services. It also means that we be able to achieve our key objective, to build brighter futures for people and communities.”
